川辺のひと夏~One Summer by the River~

小学6年生のユウは、田舎町の川が大好きな少年。夏休みは毎日友達と川に飛び込み、魚を追い、泥だらけになって家に帰るのが日課だった。

ある日、東京から一時的に引っ越してきた同い年の少女・ミオが、川辺に現れる。最初は都会っ子で水遊びが苦手なミオだったが、ユウが作った飛び込み台や秘密の川スポットに少しずつ心を開いていく。

一緒に川を泳ぎ、夕焼けを眺め、二人だけの秘密を重ねていくうちに、ユウの胸に初めての感情が芽生える。
だが夏休みの終わり、ミオはまた都会に戻る日が来る。

「また来年、同じ川で会えるかな？」
その言葉と川のせせらぎが、ユウの心に小さな約束を残した。

Twelve-year-old Yu loves nothing more than spending his summer days by the river in his small countryside town. Every afternoon, he dives off the rocks, chases fish with his friends, and returns home covered in mud, his smile as wide as the setting sun.

One day, Mio, a girl the same age from Tokyo, appears at the riverbank. At first, Mio is hesitant, unused to nature and wary of the fast-flowing water. But slowly, thanks to Yu’s handmade diving platform and a secret spot he shows her upstream, she begins to laugh and play like she never has before.

As the two spend long summer days swimming, skipping stones, and watching fireflies after sunset, something new stirs in Yu’s heart—a first, quiet kind of love he doesn’t fully understand. But all summers must end, and soon Mio has to return to the city.

“Will we meet again by this river next year?” Mio asks as they part.
The gentle sound of the flowing water carries her promise, leaving Yu with a memory he knows he’ll hold on to forever.
